Using the Internet in Birmingham Schools
Use of the Internet in Birmingham schools is subject to a number of policies and guidelines. Use by staff should follow the City Council's Internet Acceptable Use Policy, while e-mail use is subject to the guidelines within the e-mail acceptable use policy.
All schools are advised to ensure that where pupils are using the Internet, clear guidelines are laid down and agreed with both pupils and parents. All Internet users in schools should be aware of the filtering service which is in place.
