Using virtual Conference Rooms
You can use this service if you need to connect to more than one site. This is a free service. We have set up a number of "Virtual" Public and Private Coneference rooms for your use. To us a Public Conference Room, click on the Public Conference Room entry in the address book located on your Videoconferencing unit. Ask all the other particpants to connect to the same room. If you want to have a Private Conference that is password protected all we ask is that you email us with details of your conference date, time, duration. We recommend that only around 4 to 6 sites connect together, otherwise the conference will be hard to control. To make the conference call at your chosen date and time, choose the Public Conference Room to be used from the address book and make the call. Alternatively from the Video Phone screen on your Videconferencing unit enter the E164 number of the room you require, details of E164 numbers below All the other conference participants in the various sites must follow the same procedure. We suggest that the chair requests all other participants joining the conference to mute their calls. This will gve the chair control of the conference. Using a virtual Conference Room takes practice and requires a disciplined approach to discussions. As well as joining conferenence rooms you can create your own room dynamically and request your guests to join you. We also have a facility to stream the conference to other users if required. Additionally we can record your conference if you choose.
