Beyond the school gates, writing is essentially a purposeful activity, undertaken to get things done. Within them, the purpose of writing is essentially circular: we ask pupils to write in order to develop their writing, or to test or consolidate their understanding. This does not convince all pupils of the relevance or interest of written work.
This session allows students to develop and create an online writing project using a Wikispace.
This wiki has the aim of promoting collaborative writing and providing a test area where students can do that.
