We are now mid-way through a two year contract with our caterers Sodexo and we are looking forward to new and improved nutritional menus from next September 2009.
 
During the year we have received lots of feedback from students about school catering and meetings between the School Council and Sodexo have taken place.
The meetings have been positive and the School Council has provided valuable comments on the quality and variety of food, pricing and the service provided.

In response to student comments made in January, Sodexo has carried out customer care training and retrained their staff on food presentation, they have reviewed what food is left on a daily basis to ensure an increase in the amount of the most popular items, meal deals are now available on the sandwich bar and a range flat breads, tortilla wraps and bagels were introduced. In addition more herbs and spices have been used to flavour sauces. 

Last week the School Council and Sodexo met again and a programme of action has been agreed.
In response to a request for more foreign foods, Sodexo are going to work with students to come up with themed menus. Other action includes a feedback box, improved advertising and marketing, a pre-order deli service and a review of queue management.

To supplement the valuable work done with the School Council, Sodexo will very soon be undertaking a ‘Your Opinion Counts’ survey with over 200 students and I would also like to invite any comments from parent/carers.
