School Governors’ Role:-
School Governors have legal duties, powers and responsibilities. They are like a Board of Directors and meet regularly throughout the year, making decisions about how the school is run.
| Governors are appointed to help: |
decide what is taught;
set standards of behaviour;
interview and select staff;
decide how the school budget is spent. |
|
School Governors comprise:
|
priests from local parishes;
parents;
community representatives;
staff at the school. |
| Parent Governors: |
have a child in school;
are elected by parents of the school;
serve, as do other Governors, for four years. |
| |
All initial correspondence with the governors should be made to Mrs S. Mountford, Clerk to the Governors at the school.
