Behind The Logos

All school documents and pages on the web site feature the logos of various organisations that we are involved with or have awarded the school certain status. This page outlines the function of these organisations and explains the criteria for the various awards.

The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust		The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust is the lead body for the Government's specialist schools programme. It seeks to give more young people access to a good secondary education. St. Edmund Campion School was designated a Specialist School in September 2005 and so is a member of the Trust.
Language Colleges		A school can be designated as a specialist school in several different curriculum areas. St. Edmund Campion School is designated as a specialist Language College and so uses this logo. We focus on Modern Foreign Languages and teach French, German and Spanish to all pupils.
Birmingham's Catholic Partnership		Birmingham's Catholic Partnership has been in existence for nearly 20 years and is a close working relationship between nine Birmingham Catholic secondary schools and one affiliated Walsall school. Staff from the schools meet and exchange ideas and resources on a regular basis.
Investors in People		The Investors in People Standard is a business improvement tool designed to advance an organisation's performance through its people. Birmingham Grid for Learning		This indicates that the site is hosted by The Birmingham Grid for Learning and is a BGfL Plus site. We also have an Intranet which is hosted by BGfL Plus.
